A funny little EP, with 7 alternative versions of Zita Swoon’s 1999 modest summer hit. The original version of Disco! is only on here in digital video format- if you’re looking for that you can find it on the cd single from Disco!, or on the I paint pictures on a wedding dress album. The remixes of this fantastic track are overall pretty good. The soulwax remix was the most popular one, but it’s not quite my style. The Rudy Trouvé/Daan Stuyven remix is a bit of a non-event, really. It’s simply Disco!, put through some filters, resulting in a very rough, demo-style version of the song. Thing is, it doesn’t really add anything to the original. The Mac Bart remix is a very strange take on the original- it turns it into a rhythmic, almost techno-style version with more bass and beats, and a futuristic instead of a disco-sound to it. Like it or hate it- he’s the only one to really do something with his version. The remaining versions by Tom Pintens, La Sonare Starflam, SKC himself and the live version are nice variations on the original, but nothing spectacular.
