A bloody fine cd if you ask me. Stickman (and Sticksister) are two respectable labels, with a decent policy about both quality and homogenity within the label. All bands which signed to the label, are a) very good and b) within a certain 'genre'. Don't ask me to describe it, but if you can't spot at least a vaguely similar approach between, let's say Gore Slut and Motorpsycho, you must be either deaf or just plain stupid. 
My point is, if you're into Gore Slut, you're likely to like most of the other music on this compilation.
Eitherway, time to check upon Gore Slut's contribution. The live version of Showing off bruises' is just great. Great recording, with a true 'live' feel, and in it's own, a damn fine live version of the song. Listening to this track makes you cry out loud for a live album by Gore slut, but unfortunately, don't hold your breath for that just yet.
The second Gore slut track is an 8-track version of Giraffe. Good, but the difference between this version and the one on These days are the quiet kind' isn't spectacular. A bit less polished, with a strange extra 'noise' towards the end of the song.
So, is this cd worth tracking down? I'd say it definitely is. Not only for the Gore slut tracks, but it's also a great opportunity to get to know similar-minded bands.
